Ingredients
1headcabbage
2Tbspolive oil
saltto taste
freshly ground black pepperto taste
2clovesgarlicminced
1tspthymeoptional
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350° F
Cut the cabbage into ½ inch slices
Arrange the cabbage slices flat on a baking sheet and drizzle both sides generously with olive oil. Use a basting brush to spread the oil out and then sprinkle salt and pepper on each side.
Top the cabbage with freshly minced garlic and thyme.
Bake for 30 minutes or until the edges are crispy and the center is tender.
Notes
While regular iodized salt can be used, we prefer using himalayan salt to get a better flavor.
You can experiment with other toppings for the cabbage. Our favorite was adding mozzarella and red pepper flakes just a few minutes before the end of the baking time!
