Hot Honey Roasted Carrots

These hot honey roasted carrots are a sweet and savory side dish with a slight kick.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 lb Carrots
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp Hot Honey
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon

Instructions

Prepping

  • Preheat oven to 360° F.
  • Peel carrots and cut into small batons. Place them in a single layer onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  • Drizzle olive oil over carrots and add salt and pepper to your taste.
  • Mix the carrots to coat them in the oil. Once coated, make sure they are in a single layer on the pan.
  • Drizzle hot honey and sprinkle cinnamon over the carrots.

Baking

  • Bake at 360° F for 20-25 minutes or until the carrots are cooked through.

Notes

  • For a family of more than four, you might consider making two sheets of carrots.
  • If you don't like spice, substitute the hot honey for regular honey. It is just as delicious and was actually the original way I made the recipe.
  • Both rainbow carrots and regular carrots work well. No adjustments will be needed.
